Nelson Asofa-Solomona will spend some time on the sidelines after suffering a broken hand in Storm’s win over the Dragons.

The emerging prop underwent scans on Monday morning, which confirmed a fractured metacarpal in his right hand.

He will undergo surgery on Thursday and will miss at least the next two Storm games against the Titans (May 13) and Rabbitohs (May 21).

Asofa-Solomona has also been withdrawn from the New Zealand squad for Friday night’s ANZAC Test.

The injury means Kenny Bromwich is a chance to play his second Test alongside brother and New Zealand captain Jesse.
