The Thunderbolts put in a valiant effort but simply had no answer for a rampant NYC Dragons attack, sucummbing to a 22-point defeat.

The Dragons lead almost from start to finish thanks lagrely to a hat-trick from halfback Jackson Willis.

Storm's Under-20s continued to battle throughout the contest but were left with too much to do, too late.

The game was in the balance for much of the first half however two tries to the home side in the shadows of half-time swung the momentum their way.

The Dragons continued that surge after the restart to lead by as much as 26 points.

To the Thunderbolts credit they fit back with three of the next four tries.

It was not enough to leave Wollongong with the points though, eventually falling to a 46-24 defeat.
