The Thunderbolts have continued their unbeaten start to the 2017 season with a dominant 62-24 win over Wests Tigers.

The impressive performance was set up on the back of a near perfect first half display.

Storm’s Under-20s raced out of the blocks, putting on 34 unanswered points inside the opening 25 minutes.

A try to Wests Tigers just before half-time was their only blemish in what was 40 minutes of relentless rugby league.

The Thunderbolts allowed Wests through again shortly after the restart but that was where the complacency stopped.

They ran in the next three tries of the game with Scott Drinkwater setting the game alight from fullback, setting up two and scoring the other himself.

From there it was a matter of playing out the minutes as Drinkwater and Jesse Arthars fittingly added the icing on the cake, with two late tries under the posts.

Be there for our next home game at AAMI Park in Round 5, Saturday 1 April at 7:30pm.
