The Thunderbolts have made it two from two to start the 2017 season.

The young side outlasted the Warriors and torrential conditions to leave New Zealand with a 20-12 win.

Eric Smith's side burst out of the blocks with two tries in the opening seven minutes.

That 10-point bugger in such wet weather proved to be the difference maker as the Warriors simply could not bridge the gap.

Leading 16-6 at half-time, the Thunderbolts were forced to defend for much of the second half but did so courageously.

Their tireless work paid off on 57 minutes when Harlan Collins finished off a brilliant left-side, team play to score in the corner.

That proved to be the icing on the cake as the Thunderbolts remain unbeaten on the back of outstanding defence.

Be there for our first home game of 2017 at AAMI Park against the Broncos in Round 3!
