A new year, a new record for Cameron Smith!

On Friday night the Storm skipper became the first forward in NRL history to score 2,000 premiership points.

Smith is just the fifth player overall to reach the milestone after Hazem El Masri (2,418), Andrew Johns (2,176), Jason Taylor (2,107) and Daryl Halligan (2,034).

The 33-year-old required three more points going into Melbourne’s Round 2 clash with the Warriors.

He didn't take long to get there, slotting the milestone goal 25 minutes into the game.

It is yet another illustrious chapter added to the career of a future immortal.

Be there for our first home game of 2017 at AAMI Park against the Broncos in Round 3!
