Competition - NRL
Round - Finals Week 3
Teams – Melbourne Storm v Canberra Raiders
Date – 24th of September 2016
Venue – AAMI Park

Rugby League is a team game but when a member of the Storm family reaches an individual milestone it is certainly something to celebrate.

Milestones are set to be reached and records potentially broken as we look ahead to the 2017 season.

It is set to begin in a significant fashion with Will Chambers destined play his 150th game in Round 1 against the Bulldogs at Belmore.

Rising star Cameron Munster will play his 50th game in a Grand Final rematch against the Sharks in Round 6 while Felise Kaufusi (Round 13), Young Tonumaipea (Round 22) and Nelson Asofa-Solomona and Christian Welch (Round 25) will all reach the same milestone throughout the year.

After reaching 50 games last season, Kenny Bromwich could potentially achieve triple figures in 2017 but would need to play every game of the home-and-away season plus four finals to do so.

Storm’s two biggest potential milestones involve some of the Club’s all-time greats.

Billy Slater requires only a further 22 games to join the illustrious 300-club, a feat that would place him alongside Storm teammates Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk.

Smith currently sits on 335 NRL games, making the Round 17 trip to Suncorp Stadium against the Broncos the potential stage for his magical 350th.
