Richard Kennar endured an unlucky run with injuries that curtailed his 2016 season.

However he did impress in the three games he played in the purple jersey. He was a standout performer in Storm’s Round 5 win over the Knights, finishing with 155 metres, two line breaks and a try.

The dynamic outside back also came up with three try assists and three line breaks in his three games.

Kennar was also in good form for the Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Queensland Cup throughout the season.

However a foot injury put an end to his year, restricting him to few opportunities despite promising signs at NRL level early on.
