Storm will play a home preliminary final at AAMI Park in two weeks time.
The men in purple earned the right after defeating the Cowboys 16-10 in a grueling encounter on Saturday night.
It will be the Club’s second consecutive preliminary final appearance.
Melbourne will now play either the Raiders or Panthers/Bulldogs for a spot in the 2016 NRL Grand Final.
That semi-final will be played next Saturday night at Canberra Stadium.
Storm members will be emailed details of how to purchase tickets for the preliminary final once Storm’s opponent has been confirmed.
