Felise Kaufusi is pleased to continue his career in Melbourne and the feeling is certainly mutual.

Kaufusi signed a one-year extension with Storm that will see him remain in a purple jersey until at least the end of 2017.

It has been a stellar two years for the young prop since arriving in Melbourne from up north.

After making his debut in Round 1 last year. Kaufusi’s development has continued to soar, culminating in a call up to be 18th man for the Queensland Maroons in Game III of State of Origin earlier this year.

The 24-year-old has played 21 games for Storm this season and was looking forward to continue his playing career in Melbourne.

“It feels really good, I’m happy to stay here for another year which is awesome,” Kaufusi said.

“It has been awesome here, it is a great club to come to and obviously debut for the Club. I am just happy where I am at the moment.”

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Sharks, Saturday 3 September, 7:30pm.

Kaufusi will now turn his attention to Saturday night’s blockbuster against the Sharks at AAMI Park.

He will play a vital role in the battle of two esteemed forward packs and said he is looking forward to the challenge.

“It is a huge game for us and obviously playing for the minor premiership,” Kaufusi said.

“Hopefully the boys will be up for that and we can get over the line.”
