Cameron Smith is used to being amongst elite company and on Friday night he joined another illustrious club.

In the 66th minute of Friday night’s game against Brisbane the Storm captain kicked his 900th career goal, becoming just the third player in NRL history to do so.

Only Jason Taylor (942) and Andrew Johns (917) have previously reached this mark.

Smith kicked two on the night to take his career tally to 901 goals across his 15-year career.

The record has come at an impressive conversion rate of 73.09%.

Currently in some of the best form of his career this season and with at least two years left to run on his current contract, there is no sign of Smith’s goal kicking prowess slowing down anytime soon.

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Sharks, Saturday 3 September, 7:30pm.
