The Thunderbolts have two games left in season 2016 and are determined to make the most of it.
It has been an impressive second half of the year for Storm’s Under-20s.
They will head into Saturday’s clash against Brisbane having lost just two of their last eight games.
The Thunderbolts shared the spoils last week after returning from Manly with an 18-all draw.
Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Broncos, Friday 26 August, 7:30pm.
As is always the case, the young side will again look to improve on their performance.
“We know that we can do some really good things, when we complete we’ve got a lot of points in us,” coach Eric Smith said.
“We are sitting fifth for points scored so scoring points isn’t an issue for us but our completion rate and ball control has been a little bit. If we hold the football we know we’ve got plenty of good football in us.
“We are trying to focus a fair bit on defence at our end of the field. We had a couple of long range tries scored on us from deep in their end so that is something we are trying to rectify.
“There were plenty of positives to take out of the Manly game which we take into the Broncos this weekend.”
The Thunderbolts will host the Broncos at 2.45pm this Saturday afternoon at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
Storm Queensland-based members will be given free entry into the game.
