By their own admission, the Storm forward pack did not play to their high standards last week against the Raiders.
However in a testament to their performances this year, they responded in emphatic fashion on Saturday night to help Storm return to the winner’s list against Manly.
Melbourne ran for nearly 600 metres more than the Sea Eagles as the Storm forwards put the side’s attack in a great position to strike.
Seven tries was the result as the props enjoyed a bounce back performance.
“I think we needed to improve from that Canberra game a couple of games ago," Tim Glasby said.
“The pack stood up against Manly and played with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. I think the boys are playing really well at the moment so hopefully we can continue that and be consistent.”

Kenny Bromwich was a standout performer against Manly.
Filling in for injured fellow Kiwi Kevin Proctor, Bromwich had nearly 100 metres in 58 minutes as well as a try.
“Kenny had a great game, he has had a few starts throughout the year but he came in with Kevvy (Proctor) injured and did a great job on that right edge,” Glasby said.
“He is having a great year whether it be through the edge or through the ruck, hopefully he can keep doing that.”
