Storm’s Mr. Reliable Tohu Harris has began 2016 a refreshed and rejuvenated man.
After playing every game for Melbourne in 2015, Harris then went on a three game tour of England alongside fellow Kiwi internationals and Storm teammates Jesse Bromwich and Kevin Proctor.
However the Hawkes Bay native was able to finally enjoy some extended time off over Christmas, returning home across the ditch to spend time with family and deservingly recharge the batteries.

The well-earned break has already begun to pay dividends with Harris able to complete what has been a tough training camp so far for the Storm squad in Geelong.
“I had a really good break, I got to spend a little bit more time at home than usual and the body is feeling really good at the moment,” Harris said.
“Feeling a little bit tired, it’s been a tough camp but it’s nothing you don’t expect from pre-season. The boys are working hard and we are just trying to turn up everyday and do our best.”
The team is in the second of a two-week camp at Geelong Grammar as they look to ramp up preparations for the NRL Auckland Nines which kick off in just a few weeks time.
With plenty of new faces amongst the playing group the time away has given the squad a great chance to gel together, something the second-rower has certainly enjoyed.
“It is good staying with the boys and spending more time with each other, it has been a really good experience,” Harris said.
“I think we are going really well, a lot of the boys are looking fit and fast this year. The different kind of training we are doing this year is really going to benefit us so hopefully it all turns out well out on the field.
“Just taking it day by day and hopefully when we get into the season we can get a good start.”
