Young Tonumaipea's energy and vigour proved to be assets for both Melbourne Storm and feeder club Sunshine Coast Falcons in 2015.

The Northern Thunder junior featured in four consecutive games for Craig Bellamy’s side, starting with the season opener against the Dragons at AAMI Park and through to a narrow loss to the Cowboys on the road.

Tonumaipea scored two tries in his four games for the season with his first coming against the Dragons in addition to a further major against the Manly in Round 2.

The 23-year old local product was also an effective recruit for the Falcons in the Queensland Cup, providing versatility across a number of positions, including in the centres.
