Storm Coach Craig Bellamy is hoping last weekend's bye will see a refreshed and rejuvenated Storm outfit travel to Auckland in Round 18.

Coming off three consecutive losses, Bellamy explained the opportunity to rest up both mentally and physically would prove beneficial for the squad, particularly the team's younger members.

"Hopefully we've had a little bit of a break now and we've freshened up a bit," Bellamy said.

"I think a few of our younger players were a little bit tired (prior to the bye).

"They hadn't been used to playing as much NRL as they have been playing.

"We had four days off so hopefully that helps freshen them up not only in the body but in the mind as well.

"Hopefully we put a good performance up."
