Queensland and Melbourne fullback Billy Slater says his much talked about shoulder will be right to go for Origin 2 at the MCG next Wednesday night.

Speaking from the Maroons' base in Melbourne on Friday morning, the fullback discussed his fitness ahead of the historic Origin fixture.

"I'll be right to go next Wednesday night, that's my focus at the moment," Slater said.

"There was a lot of talk about it around game one as well, I will put it behind me this week and focus on my preparation.

"I went up to Sydney last week hopeful of playing against the Panthers but it just wasn't quite right. It'll be right next week."
