Cameron Smith has been charged with dangerous conduct by the NRL's match review committee following Saturday night's match-up with South Sydney.

The Melbourne Storm and Queensland Captain was cited for dangerous contact on Rabbitohs hooker Isaac Luke however can accept a reprimand with an early guilty plea which would reduce the charge to 75 points.

An early guilty plea will mean Smith is free to play in the 2015 State of Origin opener in Sydney next week.
