Big League Media Release - Team List Error
Big League wishes to acknowledge there is an error in the Melbourne Storm team list for our Round 8, 2015 issue. Billy Slater has been named to start at fullback, this is incorrect.
The correct team list had Cameron Munster listed at fullback in the No.1 jersey.
New processes for naming team lists were put in place in 2015 in which Big League receives a collated spreadsheet for all games for that weekend. There was a manual entry error made when inputting the Melbourne Storm team list. While other media outlets were notified of this, Big League did not receive any notification of the mistake and therefore our issue went to print without correction.
It is regrettable for us that this has happened as we pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards for our publication. We have been in touch with the company who assures us their processes have been amended going forward and all team lists will now be sent to us via an automated system.
The NRL has agreed that as the Melbourne Storm had correctly named Cameron Munster to wear the No.1 jersey that he will do so this weekend, despite Big League listing it to be Billy Slater.
