Easts Tigers continued their winning run while the Sunshine Coast Falcons lost in Round 7 of the Intrust Super Cup over the weekend.

Seagulls push past Falcons

Jumping out of the blocks, Wynnum Manly proved too strong for the Sunshine Coast Falcons on Saturday at Pinklands Sporting Complex.

After winning their previous two clashes, the Falcons were forced to chase the game, conceding an early lead. Three unanswered first half tries handed the Seagulls a 16-0 half-time lead leaving the Falcons with plenty to do at the break.

In the second half, a high flying Travis Robinson try kick started a charge from the Sunshine Coast allowing his side to draw within two converted tries when Johnny Vuetibau scored. However a late field goal from the boot of Wynnum Manly's Matthew Seamark ensured any hopes of a Falcons comeback was extinguished.

The Sunshine Coast Falcons have the bye in Round 8 of the Intrust Super Cup.

Dominant Tigers display defeats Capras

A powerful attacking performance on Saturday helped Easts Tigers to a comfortable 56-6 victory over the Central Queensland Capras.

Conceding the first try of the match, Easts did not look back piling on 11 unanswered tries on the way to their fifth victory of the 2015 season.

Matt Duffie continued his successful return to football, scoring a double on the wing while the Storm listed pairing of Richie Kennar (two) and Christian Welch also found the try line.

The victory propels Easts Tigers into second place on the Intrust Super Cup table ahead of their trip to Townsville in Round 8 to face the Blackhawks on ANZAC Day.
