Melbourne Storm sends its heartfelt condolences to the family of Tracey-Lee Schuhmacher who passed away peacefully on Sunday after a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis.

Tracey-Lee was a special friend of Storm, having visited the Club in 2011 as part of a Starlight Foundation visit. Following the visit Tracey-Lee remained connected with Melbourne Storm and formed friendships with a number of players and staff including Billy Slater, Cameron Smith, Matt Duffie, Ryan Hinchcliffe and Bryan Norrie.

Former Storm player Gareth Widdop and wife Carley also became close with Tracey-Lee and this remained when Gareth moved to play with the Dragons. The Widdops recently see up a Foundation to help raise money to help relieve some of the pressure of medical costs the family has sustained.

Tracey-Lee will be farewelled next Tuesday in Grafton, with guests asked to wear purple. Tracy-Lee was a special person and will be missed by her friends at Melbourne Storm.
