Melbourne fullback Billy Slater has been forced to withdraw from the Kangaroos' train on squad for the upcoming Four Nations Tournament because of a shoulder injury.
The 31-year old will undergo surgery on Monday to repair a right AC joint injury he has been managing since State of Origin 1.
On the advice of the medical team it was decided surgery was required now so Slater can commence the three month rehabilitation phase and be ready for the start of Storm's season.
