Storm Centre Will Chambers says Melbourne are looking forward to another finals campaign after securing a top eight position courtesy of a 22-12 victory over Brisbane on Friday night.

Speaking to the media on Saturday afternoon, Chambers likened the last game of the home and away season to a final, with both side's needing victory.

"It did (feel like a final), we knew all week it was going to be like that, their season was on the line and if we had have lost, we had to rely on other results," Chambers said.

Melbourne's final ladder position will be determined over the remainder of Round 26, with Manly's trip to North Queensland and the Warriors visit to Penrith having a major influence. Chambers explained Storm will continue their preparation and play the waiting game until finals are confirmed on Sunday night.

"We will prepare this week, we're not sure who we're playing yet so it's hard to say," Chambers said.

"We don't even know how long we've got until our next game so we will see how it all pans out."
