A September like afternoon at Storm training on Friday was not tricking Craig Bellamy, who is under no illusions his side need to continue winning games to assure themselves a 2014 finals berth.

Speaking to the media before Storm's training session, the coach acknowledged the importance of the final three rounds of the season.

"It's sort of like semi-final time, it's like September weather, a bit of sun out and warming up a little bit," Bellamy said.

"Obviously it's getting towards the end, everyone gets a bit of a spring in their step this time of year.

"We're certainly not certainties for September yet. We've got a bit of footy to play and a couple of games to win before we're there.

"We'll be really concentrating on what we need to this week, we're playing against a side that has done a tremendous job this year.

"Penrith are sitting in third spot…they've got great depth and a lot of their key position players have really stepped up."
