Melbourne Storm’s U20 Thunderbolts suffered a second consecutive defeat, falling to the Sharks 10-20 on Saturday evening.

The Sharks travelled to Melbourne and overturned a three game losing streak which leaves Matt Adamson’s Thunderbolts still sitting just outside of the NYC top eight.

The Thunderbolts began the match positively, scoring through Aaron Presnell off the back of strong field position as they stretched the Sharks defence and opened up an early lead.

Facing an early 4-0 deficit, the visitors were sparked into action, responding with three unanswered tries.  Four pointers to Nisbet, Deitz and Addo-Carr allowed the 15th placed Sharks to skip out to a 10-point advantage.

Trading tries to finish the half, Cronulla held their lead heading into the break.

After half-time, both sides failed to trouble the scorers in a scrappy second stanza, confining the Thunderbolts to their 10th loss of the 2014 season.
