Melbourne Storm has recorded their third consecutive victory after an impressive performance, resulting in a 28-6 win over Wests Tigers on Monday night.

The hosts jumped out to an early lead at Campbelltown after Sitaleki Akauola wrestled an arm free from Mariika Koroibete to find the try line in the corner, opening the scoring.

At the other end, an in-form Jesse Bromwich was denied a quick response after a video review, however the visitors quickly hit back after a perfectly-weighted Ben Roberts kick gave Koroibete an open path to score against his former side.

After a competitive opening to the match, Melbourne began to take control of possession with Cooper Cronk in the driver's seat. The Queensland halfback set up Koroibete for his second try then sent a deceptive short ball to Will Chambers allowed Storm some breathing space, heading into the main break with a 18-6 advantage.

Momentum continued to favour Storm throughout the second half, and it wasn't long before Cooper Cronk notched his third try assist of the night with a wide kick to winger Sisa Waqa. The flying Fijian rose high above opposing winger Tim Simona to score his 12th try of the season.

Melbourne continued to press for more points with Smith, Cronk, and Billy Slater combining to finish a flowing move which broke from inside the visitors' defensive half of the field. Taking a 28-6 lead, the four pointer put the result beyond doubt, handing Storm their third consecucitve victory.
