Ryan Hoffman is adamant New South Wales must continue to improve in the lead up to Origin Two on Wednesday night if his side is to end Queensland's record breaking run.

Speaking from New South Wales' camp on Coffs Harbour, Hoffman identified preparation as a key for the Blues to taste victory once again.

"We were happy with our preparation, what we did, we worked hard in the lead up to Game One," Hoffman said.

"We know preparation and getting ourselves right is going to help us for Game Two.

"We just also know that we have to improve it. We know Queensland is going to improve in every aspect and we have to as well."
