Melbourne Storm players Cooper Cronk, Billy Slater and Cameron Smith suffered injuries in last night’s State of Origin match.
Cooper has sustained a fractured ulna and dislocated the radioulnar joint in his right arm. The joint has been relocated and the fracture realigned and his arm is now in a cast. He will undergo further scans when he returns to Melbourne and at this stage is expected to miss 8-12 weeks.
Billy has suffered a grade 2 AC joint sprain to his right shoulder. He will be assessed by Storm medical staff over the next few days and at this stage is expected to miss approximately 2-3 weeks.
Cameron has a low grade high ankle sprain (right ankle). He will be assessed by Storm medical staff in Townsville to see how his ankle settles, however he is likely to miss 1-2 weeks.
Ryan has come through a physical Origin game well and is expected to play against the Cowboys on Saturday night.
Melbourne Storm’s team for Saturday night’s match against the Cowboys in Townsville will be announced an hour before kick-off.
