Melbourne forward Dayne Weston has been charged by the NRL Match Review Panel following Storm's Round 5 clash with the Gold Coast.

Weston has been dealt a Grade Two dangerous contact charge for a tackle in the 54th minute of Storm's meeting with the Titans on Sunday.

An early guilty plea will see the 27-year old, who made his club debut against the Titans, miss Storm's Round 6 Monday night match-up against St. George Illawarra. Should Weston contest the charge and lose, the forward faces up to two matches on the sidelines.

In further news, Melbourne Storm today confirmed the club will be seeking clarification from the NRL regarding this afternoon’s Match Review Committee Charges.

Secure your seat at AAMI Park for Storm's Round 6 match-up with the Dragons, Monday 14 April, 7pm.
