Storm forward Jordan McLean has been handed a seven match ban after being found guilty of a 'dangerous throw' in Melbourne's Round 3 meeting with Newcastle.
With the hearing referred straight to the NRL judiciary, a three man panel found McLean guilty of a 'dangerous throw', handing the 22-year old a 725-point suspension resulting in a seven week ban.
Speaking after the judiciary hearing, Storm CEO Mark Evans said the club would assess the situation over the coming days.
“There has been a due process and a sentence has been handed down," Evans said.
"We will think about our position in the next few days.
"There’s no winners here, there was never going to be, and I think it’s important the sport does not lose sight of that.”
