Physiotherapist EOI Jersey Flegg (U21s) Squad
Melbourne Storm is an Australian professional rugby league club playing in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. We are the only NRL team based in Victoria and have experienced substantial growth and success in our short history.
We are currently inviting expressions of interest from passionate and high-performance-driven Physiotherapists to be part of our Jersey Flegg (U21s) Program for the 2026 season. The Physiotherapist will be engaged in a contractor capacity. The Physiotherapist is responsible for providing acute injury management, prehabilitation and rehabilitation for Jersey Flegg (U21s) players. They are also responsible for assisting in the delivery of the physical preparation program. Other key focus areas include:
- Assist, facilitate and integrate physical, medical, coaching and welfare involvement for all injured players.
- Design and schedule the training week for injured players, in conjunction with the performance team.
- Deliver rehab programs for players and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in delivery of hands-on manual therapy work as and when required in the training week.
- Provide on-field medical (Orange Shirt trainer) on Jersey Flegg game days including pre-game preparation and on-field and post-match injury assessment and management.
- Maintain up to date record keeping for injury tracking, training participation, rehabilitation documents and any other documentation as required.
- Work closely with the NSW Cup and Academy physiotherapists for planning and management of players.
Qualification
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification.
- AHPRA Registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Relevant certificates required for NSWRL Orange Shirt (or willing to obtain certificates).
- ASCA accreditation (desirable).
- Working with Children Check.
Availability
- 2-3 evening training sessions per week (+ Saturdays in pre-season).
- Game-day coverage throughout the season (March – September). Generally, games are on Saturdays or Sundays.
Location
- Training and games are generally at Seabrook Reserve, Broadmeadows with some at AAMI Park.
- Home games are played at Seabrook Reserve, Broadmeadows or at AAMI Park.
- Away games involve interstate travel, generally same-day travel to NSW. However, away games may also include Fiji and / or New Zealand
