Melbourne Storm is an Australian professional rugby league club playing in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. We are the only NRL team based in Victoria and have experienced substantial growth and success in our short history.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer, an opportunity exists for a talented and innovative designer to join our driven Marketing team. The primary focus of this role will be planning and executing the delivery of all elements of creative production, including brand design, visual identity and upholding style guidelines to build brand awareness, consumer engagement and ultimately support revenue growth for the organisation.
This role works closely with the boarder Marketing, Digital & Data team to deliver all graphic design requirements across key areas of the Club and is required to work both independently and collaboratively whist upholding professionalism and brand consistency in all visual elements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years’ experience in the industry. This role focuses on hands-on design work and offers opportunities to contribute to creative concepts and ideation.
Due to the nature of our industry, this role will be required to work some weekends and evenings at game days and nominated Club events.
As the Graphic Designer, you will:
- Design high quality assets and visual elements across marketing communications including but not limited to digital, print, social and motion/video ready formats, in an efficient turnaround.
- Support campaign execution, ticketing campaigns (crowd builds) and promotional initiatives through the design of key marketing collateral including eDMs, billboards, digital/print advertising tiles and web assets.
- Apply Melbourne Storm brand guidelines accurately and consistently, maintaining strong typography, layout, colour and image standards.
- Effective use of Adobe Creative Cloud to create work at an exceptional standard.
- Support the Senior Designer and design workflows under peak campaign and season periods.
- Manage briefs and deliverables in collaboration with the Senior Designer and Marketing team, communicating timelines, progress and delivery updates in a timely manner.
- Support the delivery of game day creative, including graphics and updates, social content, video support and any other requirements.
- Work alongside the digital and content producers to deliver on key work elements, which may include static and moving web banners, web tiles and landing pages.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Design, supported by a minimum of 2 years experience.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite proficiency – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high volume assets across multiple formats.
- Strong attention to detail and brand accuracy.
