Melbourne Storm is an Australian professional rugby league club playing in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. We are the only NRL team based in Victoria and have experienced substantial growth and success in our short history.
About the role
The Content Assistant - Pathways will be responsible for compiling and creating content to be delivered across Melbourne Storm digital media channels surrounding our Club’s Junior Representative Teams.
This is a part-time, fixed-term opportunity, working closely with our Social Media Specialist and Video Producer until May 2026. The Content Assistant – Pathways will be a key support for our Digital and Content team with the creation, execution and delivery of social media, editorial and video content which looks to showcase our growing Pathways program.
Due to the nature of our industry, hours and days of work may vary to align with our Pathways season fixture with 15 hours per week on offer.
As the Content Assistant, you will
- Perform general website administration including but not limited to updating player profiles, maintenance of photo galleries and articles.
- Writing and sourcing editorial content to be published relating to Melbourne Storm Pathways.
- Assist with production and uploading of content onto the Melbourne Storm website in association with the rest of the Digital team.
- Work with the Social Media Specialist and other team members to support the execution of the digital and content plan for Melbourne Storm Pathways accounts.
- Create content, story concepts and images for Melbourne Storm Pathways social media channels.
- Work with Multimedia & Video Producer on editing of video content relating to Melbourne Storm Pathways (e.g. highlight packages or interviews).
- Capture training and game day content where required.
The successful candidate will possess
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, Digital or Social Media.
- 0-1 year’s experience working in digital, social media or communications.
- Experience in the sporting industry will be highly regarded.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
