Three straight defeats have followed their 4-0 start but the Thunderbolts remain focused.

Poor execution and a completion rate of around 50 per cent told the story of the weekend’s defeat to Manly.

With this Saturday’s game against the Warriors looming as an important one to turn their form around, the Thunderbolts will have no shortage of motivation to do so.

“The boys are disappointed that we have been beaten but they are also very keen to go back out and turn things around,” coach Eric Smith said.

“The best way to forget about a bad performance is to put in a better one, that is our motivation.

“We know we are still early into this competition and we’ve won enough games to keep within striking distance with the rest of them.”

The Thunderbolts will host the Warriors at 2.45pm this Saturday at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
