A lot has happened in the life Jesse Bromwich since last year’s Grand Final.

The superstar prop spent over a month in the UK captaining New Zealand to the Four Nations final.

He then returned home to New Zealand to tie the knot, marrying his longtime partner Lezyola.

Now Bromwich is back in Melbourne to commence preparations for the 2017 season.

After an extending season on the field last year, his break off it has re-energised the three-time Storm Player of the Year.

“I’m feeling really good, really fresh,” Bromwich said.

“I guess I was really busy in that break and time just flew but I had a really good time. I’m mentally fresh and really look forward to get back into training so it is good to be back.”

It is just seven weeks until Storm take on the Bulldogs in Round 1.

Before now and then, Bromwich is clear about where his focus needs to be.

“At moment it is pretty basic for me, I just want to get stronger and fitter,” Bromwich said.

“I will be working at that pretty hard out on the field.

“In terms of leadership I would like to step up there and try a few different things but we will just see how we go.”
