Whether it is in the centres or at five-eighth, Curtis Scott just wants another NRL opportunity in 2017.

The talented teenager is one of many Storm players looking to fill the vacant positions in the starting side.

Scott got a small taste of NRL action when he played two games in the opening month of his debut season last year.

That was enough to give the 19-year-old plenty of motivation to earn a place back in Craig Bellamy’s side.

“I am just trying to concentrate on getting a spot (in the team). I am happy to play anywhere,” Scott said.

“Just training hard, focusing on that and just see what pans out come Round 1. Whatever opportunity comes up I will just try and take it with two hands.”

Currently in the middle of his second pre-season with Storm, Scott admits he is better prepared than he was 12 months ago.

Back then he was a fresh-faced kid from NSW but second time around he is becoming used to what is required during an NRL pre-season.

“I didn’t know really what to expect when I first came down last year but this year I took it a bit better on the body,” Scott said.

“I put a little bit more weight on, a little bit more size and have found it easier this time around.”
