Cooper Cronk has seen and experienced it all over the course of 13 seasons at the highest level.

So the idea of having to gel with a new halves partner is not foreign to the 33-year-old.

The off-season departure of Blake Green has left the race to fill Storm’s No.6 jersey wide open.

There are plenty of youngsters in the playing group putting their hand up which is an exciting aspect of the pre-season.

“Over the course of my time at the Club we have had different five-eighth options,” Cronk said.

“I think there will be a couple of different structures if we have Cameron Munster there but don’t rule out Brodie Croft or Curtis Scott.

“Those guys bring different dimensions to our team and we will accommodate those.”

There has been much talk about Munster’s ability to fill the vacant playmaking role.

A Cronk-Munster combination is not an entirely new concept given the pair have been developing an understanding in recent seasons, albeit as a fullback and halfback.

“In the last two years with Billy being out I think we’ve developed that combination insitively and it will improve,” Cronk said.

“In terms of the position that Cameron Munster will play, it is still up in the air at the moment. Billy is training well, Cameron Munster is training well so we’ve got some good headaches there in terms of decision-making and positional play.”
