There is nothing like the injection of youth to keep everyone on their toes.

That is precisely what has happened amongst the Storm playing group this pre-season.

With an average age of 22, there is plenty of exciting young talent in the Club’s ranks and those youngsters have been providing plenty of energy to the team’s more experienced players.

That is what Tohu Harris has noticed since his return from his off-season break.

With 103 NRL games under his belt, Harris is one of most experienced players at Melbourne.

He admits there is a need to take on more of a leadership role but that responsibility is one that is shared across the group.

“It is a really young squad but I think that youth brings excitement,” the 25-year-old said.

“Everyone is working hard, that’s the main thing because everyone wants to improve.

“I think I do have a responsibility to lead where I can but I think the main thing is that I’m working hard because I know that they are.

“If they see me taking short-cuts then that isn’t a good thing for the team. I’m making sure I’m working as hard as the person next to me and hopefully we can do that all together.”
