There is no bigger or better home opener than taking on the Brisbane Broncos under lights at AAMI Park!

Wayne Bennett’s boys will come to Melbourne on March 16 for a Round 3 Thursday night blockbuster.

Up to 11 representative players will take part from both teams meaning the contest with be a guaranteed 80 minutes of high-octane rugby league.

The Broncos got the chocolates on their last trip to Melbourne in Round 25 this year while Storm recorded a runaway 48-6 in the corresponding fixture at Suncorp Stadium earlier in the season.

Storm have won 10 of the last 12 meetings between the two teams.

It is a contest that always creates a fever-pitch atmosphere, with the past eight in Melbourne attracting an average crowd of nearly 20,000.

Two all-time great coaches, plenty of star quality and teams with plenty of history – this rivalry could not have too much more.
