Storm prop Jordan McLean has been named in the 2017 Emerging Blues squad.

Blues coach Laurie Daley and Origin adviser Peter Sterling have rewarded the 25-year-old for his consistent level of development in recent seasons.

For the first time in his four-year career, McLean played over 20 games during the 2016 season.

He averaged almost 10 metres per run as he formed a formidable starting prop pairing alongside Jesse Bromwich.

McLean also represented Country during the 2016 Representative Round where he proved a standout in the City-Country clash.

The Emerging Blues squad will assemble for a camp in January.
