That is the situation Dale Finucane and Blake Green find themselves in as they prepare to play their 50th game in the purple jersey.
It also happens to coincide with rugby league’s biggest stage.

For most players, from both teams, it will be a situation that is entirely new to them.
Finucane is one of a handful of players who has been there before when he played for the Bulldogs in 2012.
He does not posses the same level of experience that his captain does when it comes to grand finals but it will still hold him in good stead.
“Smithy spoke to us earlier in the week about the build up and what is involved in the Grand Final,” Finucane said.
“He spoke to a lot of the younger boys about just embracing it and enjoying the week.
“It is easy to get overawed with everything in terms of the media, the Grand Final Footy Show and all the other commitments that are involved in it but Smithy has just spoken to everyone about embracing it.
“With my experience, being involved in (a Grand Final) as well, it is the same. Just really embrace it and enjoy the whole week.”
