This Sunday’s NRL Grand Final will also be Melbourne Storm’s 500th game in the NRL.

The significant milestone will be reached on rugby league’s biggest stage when the men in purple take on Cronulla in what will be Storm’s seventh grand final appearance.

Melbourne is currently competing in its 16th finals series in 19 years since entering the national competition back in 1998.

Storm have played 499 games to date, including 317 wins and six draws.

The Club’s winning percentage of 63.5% is currently the greatest winning percentage of any first grade team in rugby league history.

Saturday night’s Preliminary final win was also the Club’s 24th from 39 finals appearances.
