It is no secret the battle of the forwards on Saturday night will go a long way to deciding this year’s minor premiership.

Storm and the Sharks rank in the top three of in the NRL for metres gained in 2016.

Both teams have packs that are sizeable, skillful and never willing to take a backwards step.

That is what makes the game on the weekend all the more mouthwatering.

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Sharks, Saturday 3 September, 7:30pm.

With international and Origin representatives set to collide, it all points to 80-minutes of fireworks at AAMI Park.

“They are a physical team, Fifita, Wade Graham and Paul Gallen are all tough players,” Jesse Bromwich said.

“They get up in your face and give you a little bit extra so I’m preparing for a tough one.

“This time we know it is coming and you’ve just got to prepare for it. You can’t get shocked when it hits out there, you’ve just got to prepare for a tough game.

“We know they are going to come down here with an aggressive style so we’ve got to match that. These are the games you want to play.”

After last Friday’s disappointing loss to the Broncos there was some thorough self-assessment undertaken by the playing group.

Bromwich was confident there will be a much improved Melbourne that comes to play against the Sharks.

“It was pretty disappointing the way we played last week, the coaches didn’t need to say too much, we were pretty filthy on ourselves,” the Kiwi prop said.

“As players we’ve put it on ourselves to put a good performance together this week.

“It is very important we go into the finals series on the back of a good performance.”
