Ryan Morgan will depart the Club at the end of the season after accepting an offer to join Super League side St Helens.

The centre has signed a three-year deal and will head to the UK at the conclusion of Storm’s 2016 campaign.

Morgan joined Melbourne as a mid-season transfer after nine rounds of this season and has played seven games in the purple jersey, scoring two tries.

The 26-year-old played 84 games across five seasons for Parramatta before joining Storm this year.

While his time at the Club may have been short, he admits Melbourne has left a lasting impact on him.

“I’ve loved it, all the boys have been great down here as have the coaching staff,” Morgan said.

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Broncos, Friday 26 August, 7:30pm.

“It’s true what they say about this club, it’s a real professional organisation and it’s really well run.

“There’s a tight group of boys down here and I’ve really been enjoying my footy. I’d say I’ve made some lifetime friends down here.”

Storm Football Director Frank Ponissi said Morgan had quickly become an integral part of the playing group.

“Ryan has made a big contribution to Storm during his short stay at the club,” Ponissi said.

“He has quickly become a very well liked member of the playing group and we would have loved to have kept him in Melbourne – Ryan has played a big part in our success in attack throughout the season so far and has played in six wins from his seven games.

“We realise the incredible opportunity Ryan has been given to join a world famous club in St.Helens and wish him all the best during his time in the Super League."
