NRL Premiership - Round 20 - Melbourne Storm V Sydney Roosters - 23 July 2016 - AAMI Park, Melbourne, Vic - Ian Knight

Cameron Smith has entered into another chapter of NRL history, moving into outright ninth for most games played in NRL history.

The Storm skipper led his side to a 26-10 win over the Roosters on Saturday night in what was his 326th game in a purple jersey.

That number moves Smith past Geoff Gerard on the NRL’s list of most games played. Smith's winning percentage of 69.6% is also the highest of any player inside the top 10.

The champion hooker was at his mercurial best on Saturday against the Roosters, coming up with two try assists and 33 tackles in the win over Sydney.

With another two more years to run on his current contract there is no sign of the future immortal slowing down anytime soon.

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Rabbitohs, Saturday 6 August, 7:30pm.
