They currently reside in 13th place on the NRL ladder but Wests Tigers have shown in recent weeks that they have plenty left to say when it comes to the finals race.
The boys from Leicchardt Oval have labeled Sunday’s clash at AAMI Park their “biggest game of the year.”
It will be Wests Tigers first trip to the southern state since 2013 and they have only returned home here victorious just once from their 11 visits.
With vision of Cooper Cronk’s golden-point field goal from Round 7 still fresh in their minds, there is no doubt the joint-venture club will be hungry for the contest this weekend.

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Tigers, Sunday 26 June, 4pm.

Tigers finding their feet
Having won three of their past four games, Jason Taylor’s side is beginning to show the type of football many thought they were capable of at the start of the year. After a six-game losing run early on, Wests Tigers have steadied the ship over the last month. They now sit just one win outside the eight. Sunday’s game presents them with the opportunity to test themselves against a side at the top of the ladder, leaving them with no shortage of motivation heading into this one.

Into the Woods
Aaron Woods missed the last meeting between these two teams through injury. The Tigers captain is the focal point for his side in so many ways. He leads his club in total metres despite missing four games and will go up against star Storm prop Jesse Bromwich in a match-up that is likely to go a long way to deciding the outcome of this one. He is the type of player that helps his teammates walk that extra bit taller, making him a significant focal point of Storm’s planning.

Firm in attack
Wests Tigers have plenty of attacking weapons. Their spine of James Tedesco, Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses is a potent one. Brooks in particular ranks equal second in the NRL for try assists alongside Johnathan Thurston and number one for line break assists. Tedesco is regaining his touch after a month out through injury while Moses will be out to make amends for his missed field goal in that nail-biting Round 7 clash.
