Easts Tigers edged out local rivals Souths Logan Magpies to record a 38-32 win at Suzuki Stadium on Sunday.

The Tigers overturned their two-game losing run on the back of a four try to two second half.

The home side trailed 20-14 at half-time as a result of several penalties and errors but emerged from the sheds to turn the contest on its head.

Matt White was instrumental for Easts, helping kick start the charge when he set up their first try of the second half in the 56th minute.

Another three tries followed in 11 minutes as Easts raced out to a 12-point lead.

Souths hit back with four minutes to play to leave the home crowd on the edge of their seats but they did not need to worry.

The win moved Easts up to fifth on the Intrust Super Cup ladder, one-point shy of the top four.

With the Representative Round, followed by the bye week, Easts will have a two week break before travelling to face Ipswich Jets on May 21.
