Storm’s thrilling Auckland Nines campaign has given fans plenty of reasons to be optimistic heading into the 2016 NRL season.

Whether it be Blake Green’s magic or Curtis Scott turning heads, the Club’s march to the semi-final stage provided of plenty of highlights across an action-packed weekend.

Day 1 proceeded without a blemish as Storm accounted for both Parramatta and South Sydney.

Melbourne opened their Nines account against the Eels in Game 2 of the tournament and a blistering opening three minutes saw both teams hit the scoreboard.

A 4-4 halftime score line was soon broken open by Richie Kennar before Storm captain Blake Green capped off a mercurial second half performance with the match-sealing try.
