Melbourne Storm forward Dale Finucane will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks after dislocating his left distal radioulnar joint in the Club’s 30-2 win over Cronulla Sharks on Monday night.

Finucane required surgery to relocate the joint and will spend some time with his forearm in a splint before starting his rehabilitation.

Storm Football Director Frank Ponissi said, “We are disappointed to lose Dale for the next month, he has had an impressive first year with the Club and has fitted in seamlessly on and off the field.

Be there for Monday Mates Night at AAMI Park when Storm host the Knights on Monday 24 August!

“The surgery was successful and Dale will spend the next couple of weeks in a splint to restrict movement before getting back into his training. We are confident should the Club finish in the Top 8, Dale will be available for Finals selection.”

Storm will announce Finucane’s replacement for Monday night’s game an hour before kick-off.
