Storm Coach Craig Bellamy has declared utility Ryan Hinchcliffe is 'made for Origin' and backed him to step up to the mark should he earn Blues selection for Origin 2.

A long term advocate for the consistent forward to enter the Origin arena, Craig Bellamy commented today as Hinchcliffe enters into Laurie Daley's calculations with an injury cloud hanging over incumbent hooker Robbie Farah.

"For a few years I've really pushed Hinch - I thought he'd be a great player for a NSW bench," Bellamy said.

"If Robbie doesn't play, I know there would be a fair few guys there put their hand up.

"I think Hinchy would do a really good job if he actually started at dummy half.

"Ryan Hinchcliffe would do a great job for New South Wales.

"He is a guy that is made for Origin too but he has never had the opportunity unfortunately."

Bellamy also praised Storm's Queensland representatives for their performance in Origin 1, highlighting second gamer Will Chambers' impressive showing on the wing.

With all four named to take on the Roosters in Sydney, the Storm coach will be hoping for a similar impact from the Maroons quartet on Monday night.

"They were great, we're really proud of the way they performed," Bellamy said.

"I can't remember a guy performing as well in his first two Origin games than Will.

"I thought he was outstanding on Wednesday night, he played a great game there last year as well."

"They (Storm's Origin representatives) are having a bit of a rest at the moment, so we will check them out on Sunday and go from there."
