Both Easts Tigers and the Sunshine Coast Falcons suffered losses in Round 10 of the Intrust Super Cup over the weekend.

Dolphins edge out Tigers

Easts Tigers suffered a narrow loss to the Redcliffe Dolphins in a tight contest at Langlands Park on Saturday afternoon.

With the game in the balance for much of the 80 minutes, the visiting Redcliffe side finished on top despite a late try from outside back Richie Kennar giving the Tigers hope late in the match.

Storm listed playmaker Shaun Nona was influential in attack for the home side, recording a try assist and kicking two goals in the loss.

The loss leaves the Tigers in sixth position on the Intrust Super Cup table. In Round 11 they will host the Sunshine Coast Falcons in Brisbane.

Falcons fall to Magpies

The Sunshine Coast Falcons suffered a 35-4 loss to Souths Logan Magpies on Saturday afternoon.

The visiting Magpies jumped out to an early lead and didn't look back, recording their second victory of the 2015 season.

Trailing 12-0 at the half-time break, the Sunshine Coast clawed their way back into the contest when U20 Thunderbolt Tony Tumusa, playing his first game in the Intrust Super Cup scored on the left wing.

Tumusa's try failed to spark a Falcons comeback however as Souths Logan piled on the points during the second half to run away with victory.

Sunshine Coast will travel to Langlands Park in Brisbane to face Easts Tigers in Round 11.
